Marmaduke has used his dark powers to open a dimensional gate. Marmaduke's Owner-Man is of a lower order of consciousness and ,therefore, cannot see this gate even though he is being sucked into it.

i believe i already told you.
It honestly just seems like the artist drew something and couldn't figure out what he had drawn.
This seems like something my comic would do...
Time to either call in Cesar Milan, 'The Dog Whisperer' or to get Owner-Man out to the gym more than once a month to work on some upper body strength.
