Born from the frustration of Joe Mathlete's unexplained absence/retirement xy Explains Marmaduke for the Masses was at first created as an homage to Joe's crowning achievement. However, after Joe returned to the Marmaduke explaining scene it became apparent that there was not enough room on the Internet for two people to do the same thing. And thus xy Explains Marmaduke for the Masses was shut down in the spring of 2009.
In January of 2010, xy Explains Marmaduke for the Masses made a triumphant return to the Internet. It was a bittersweet comeback however; in order to prevent another War of the Marmadukes it became a private, invitation only blog.
As of February 2011 xy Explains Marmaduke for the Masses has returned for all to enjoy/hate/ignore.
It's 2017 and I'm back baby.
